The Territory
The wines of the Maèntu line are born in north-western Sardinia, in the territories near the Alghero coast, where viticulture has coexisted for centuries with the sea and the wind.
Here, the mistral wind blows constantly through hills and vineyards, promoting grape health and aromatic concentration. The mineral-rich soils and the island’s intense light contribute to the full ripening of Cannonau, the symbolic variety of Sardinian winemaking tradition.
In this landscape of Mediterranean scrub, stone, and light, vine cultivation represents a historical agricultural practice and an integral part of the local identity.
The Maentu Line
Maèntu takes its name from the mistral wind, a natural element that deeply characterizes Sardinia. The project was created to tell the story of the direct relationship between nature and viticulture, letting the territory, climate, and tradition define the style of the wines.
The wind becomes the brand’s symbol: it protects the vineyards, shapes the character of the grapes, and ideally connects sea, land, and people. Each bottle thus expresses authenticity, balance, and a sense of belonging to the Sardinian landscape.
The line interprets wine as a territorial and cultural expression, maintaining stylistic consistency and recognizability.
