Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG

Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG from the Chiore line, the emblematic grape variety of Abruzzo. Cultivated among the calcareous-clay and sandy hills of the Chieti area, between the Adriatic and Maiella, it expresses aromas of dark fruit, sweet spices and light balsamic notes. On the palate it is balanced, with ripe tannins and a savory, spicy finish, an authentic expression of the territory.

The Territory

The wine originates in the hills of Chieti, where calcareous-clay and sandy soils meet a breezy climate influenced by the Adriatic Sea and the Maiella massif.

These conditions favor complete ripening while maintaining balance and juiciness, while the minerality of the soil contributes to depth and the characteristic savory finish.

The Chiore Line

The name “Chiore,” from the ancient Abruzzese dialect, means “clear” and “bright” and evokes a path guided by light.

The project is inspired by the tratturi, the ancient paths traveled between mountain and sea, where earth and sky seem to speak the same language. Each bottle represents this connection with the Abruzzese landscape and its history.

Genevitis Supply Chain

This wine is part of the Genevitis project, an Italian wine network that brings together selected regional cooperatives. The supply chain ensures production continuity, consistent quality and long-term commercial availability.
