Among Historic Hills, Noble Grape Varieties and the Culture of Time

In Piedmont, wine is part of the landscape and collective memory. Among hills shaped by vineyards, historic villages and an agricultural tradition handed down over time, viticulture has accompanied the life of local communities for generations.

Within the Genevitis project, this region represents a unique balance between elegance, territorial identity and production continuity.

The Territory

Piedmont is one of the most representative regions of Italian winemaking. Here, viticulture develops across historic areas such as Langhe, Monferrato, Roero and Gavi, territories where the vine shapes the landscape and defines its identity.

The hills of Piedmont, internationally recognised for their landscape and cultural value, offer natural conditions that are particularly favourable to vine cultivation. The variety of soils, the exposure of the slopes and the temperature variations between day and night accompany slow and regular ripening, contributing to wines of great balance and expressive precision.

In this context, wine is not merely an agricultural product, but a direct expression of the territory, its history and its ability to transform time into value.

Within the Genevitis project, Piedmont takes shape through the collaboration with Araldica, a cooperative founded in 1954 in Castel Boglione and deeply rooted in the winemaking tradition of Monferrato.

The cooperative brings together around 140 winegrower members and manages 900 hectares of vineyards across some of the region’s most renowned winegrowing areas, including Monferrato, Gavi, Langhe and Roero.

Production is based on the enhancement of traditional Piedmontese grape varieties and on a philosophy that combines innovation with respect for the territory.

With an established presence in the main Italian and international distribution channels, Araldica represents an organisation capable of combining production capacity, quality and territorial recognisability.

Attention to sustainability and to the correct interpretation of microclimates and terroirs further strengthens the bond between wine and origin.

Tradition

In Piedmont, viticulture is the result of a long relationship between people, landscape and agricultural knowledge. Work in the vineyards, care for exposures, the choice of grape varieties and respect for the characteristics of each area tell the story of a culture built over time and preserved by local communities.

Wine thus becomes the expression of a tradition that is not limited to memory, but continues to live through every harvest. Production precision, attention to detail and the value attributed to origin make this region a benchmark for Italian viticulture.

Within the Genevitis project, Piedmont represents one of the most recognisable expressions of the relationship between territory and wine. The supply chain enhances regional identities while keeping production continuity, consistent quality and respect for local traditions at its core.

In this vision, Piedmont contributes with a winemaking culture based on balance, depth and stylistic precision. The wines thus become part of a broader narrative, where landscape, agricultural communities and wine heritage come together in a coherent and enduring proposal.
